How to Register for the 2026 Season

2026 registrations are officially open — and this year, all registrations are handled through Rugby Xplorer, NZ Rugby's new registration platform.

Whether you're a returning player or completely new to the club, the process is straightforward. Here's everything you need to know.

Returning Players

If you played last season, simply log back into the Rugby Xplorer app or website and re-register for the 2026 season. Your details should already be on file — just confirm your information and you're good to go.

New Players

If you're new to Rolleston RFC, you'll need to create a Rugby Xplorer account first. Head to xplorer.rugby or download the Rugby Xplorer app from Google Play or the App Store. Many users find the app easier than the website.

Setting up your account:

  1. Go to xplorer.rugby or download the Rugby Xplorer app
  2. Click "Create a Rugby Xplorer account"
  3. Fill out the registration form
  4. Click Next
  5. Check your email for a verification message
  6. Click Verify Email
  7. Set your password

Important for parents: Players 13 and under need to be registered by a parent or caregiver. You'll create your own account first, and then register your child or children through your profile. Players must be no younger than 4 years old to register.

Registering for Rolleston RFC

Once you have your account set up:

  1. Open the Rugby Xplorer app or Rugby Portal
  2. Sign in
  3. Click Register
  4. Click "Find a Club"
  5. Select who you want to register
  6. Enter "Rolleston" and click Search
  7. Click "Rolleston (Ellesmere)" and click Next
  8. Select the registration role, type, and duration
  9. Enter personal details
  10. Enter emergency contact details
  11. Answer any custom questions
  12. Agree to the National Registration Terms and Conditions

And that's it — you're registered.
