The 2026 Season Is Here — What You Need to Know

The 2026 season is almost upon us, and it's shaping up to be the biggest year yet for Rolleston Rugby Football Club.

Here's a quick rundown of everything you need to know heading into the season.

Registrations Are Open

All registrations for 2026 are handled through Rugby Xplorer. If you played last season, log back in and re-register. If you're new to the club, you'll need to create an account first — check out our full How to Register guide for step-by-step instructions.

Players must be at least 4 years old to register. Under 13s need to be registered by a parent or caregiver.

Teams & Grades

We're fielding teams across every level this season:

  • Rippa Rugby — Ages 5-7, non-contact
  • Junior Tackle — Under 7 through Under 13
  • Teenage Grades — Under 14.5, Under 16, Under 18
  • Senior Men — Colts, Division 3, Division 2, Division 1
  • Women & Girls — Growing every year

Whatever your age or experience, there is a team for you.

Pre-Season Events

We've got a stack of pre-season activity to get everyone game-ready:

  • Junior Tackle Clinic — Tuesday 17 March at Rolleston Rugby Club. Sessions for Year 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8.
  • Girls Rugby Camp — Friday 20 & Saturday 21 March at Rolleston College Senior Campus. Open to all Year 9-13 girls in Selwyn and Ellesmere.
